Give it a try!
I put up a message about a program called Freecorder over at DVDylan.....it didn't attract too much attention.
I didn't go into much detail about it for reasons that will be obvious below.
Using the program and sites like Last.fm you can download plenty of old albums that you may only have on vinyl.
I don't know about you, but I have lots and I certainly don't feel guilty about replacing them with digital copies as I've already paid for the music once!
If you go to this page, for instance: http://www.last.fm/music/Steely+Dan/+albums it's possible to download
Royal Scam - Pretzel Logic - Aja - Katy Lied - Countdown
Gaucho - Can't Buy A Thrill ......you can d/l them as Wav or MP3 and put them onto a player or burn them to disk.
Some albums won't copy.....I didn't have much luck with early Bonnie Raitt, but it's worth trying any artist.....I did some early Elvis, Rod Stewart and there's some Lucinda live at the Fillmore here:

Here's a link to the DVDylan message I posted: http://dvdylan.com/msg/147134 it gives details of the program. As I said there, other programs may do the same job,but this one is easy to use and it's free. Give it a try....you won't be sorry!
